WSRC of Victoria – Our Policy

The WSRC of Victoria, BC provides quick, easy access to the Club boats for registered members with active accounts. The goal of the club is to further the sport of rowing by teaching rowing, paddle boarding, oar boarding, and boat handling skills – and to make it easy and affordable for members to use these safe, stable boats regularly, all year around. The all new Oar Board™ SUP rowing units additionally provide a fun flat water component to the mix.

The Club dock is located at the Mermaid Wharf Marina, 450 Swift St., in Victoria, BC, and is not staffed. Instead, the Club operates similarly to a timeshare, where members take care of their own boat handling, cleaning up after themselves, and making sure everything is locked up. Club Manager and All Water Rowing or Stand Up Paddle Trainers attend to the dock for booked appointments for orientation and instruction of new members. Call 250-361-2621 for further details, or call Club Manager/Trainer Diana at 778-679-2621 or Trainer Andrea at 250-589-0018.

Our registered members are required to sign a registration agreement and waiver where they agree to following our Club Rules at all times before taking the Introductory Orientation/Training Session with one of our rowing instructors.

No annual membership fee is currently due to Whitehall Spirit Rowing Club of Victoria.

Additional training in rowing skills is available at $49.00 per hour.

WSRC membership gives our members the ability to purchase time packages online or direct from the Manager at the dock after receiving your Introductory Training Session or for those who are have already been trained by calling 250-361-2621. Their time package purchased is then available to them online for booking out any boat or board. Club members’ time package hours purchased will expire within one year of their purchase date if not used.

Members are welcome to bring family, friends or pets with them, however each time they go out each guest must fill out the club registration and waiver form completely, including signing and dating it. Members assume responsibility for their pets, children and guests when using the club boats and gear. Children under 12 years old must have their own well fitting lifejackets with them. Those under the ages of 19 are required to have the signature of a guardian on their registration/waiver forms.

Payments can be made online by Paypal, or by phone, or in person by cash, check, Visa or Mastercard. A receipt will be provided by email. The email address for the Club is info@whitehallrowclub.com.

The office manager Diana Lesieur’s phone number is 778-679-3927 and the general information line is 250-361-2621. The office location is 85 Dallas Rd., Victoria BC V8V 1A1. Club docks are at 450 Swift St. at Mermaid Wharf Marina.

The rules, regulations, waiver, hours of operation and prices may be subject to change without notice. The management reserves the right to deny access and usage to anyone at any time. Returning members who have had any change in their physical or mental state that could impair their ability to row or handle a club boat or paddle board safely must inform the Club manager, who may require that the member take further training or row only with a more able member.

From time to time group events are held including special programs and gatherings. These events along with regular club usage by members are covered by the Club’s insurance policy.
